Course Description
This course seeks to introduce students to an overview of what communication design is and the immense professional opportunities it provides. The course also introduces students to two-dimensional design, the elements and principles of design, including idea development from concept to completion.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- Master the entire design-oriented process of value creation in theory and practice.
- Identify the essential competencies expected from creative heads in management positions.
- Focus on aesthetic production marketing, advertising and visual communication.

- Communication design and its specialised industries. Examples of pivotal movements and designer work.
- Identification and explanation of the various specialities within the communication design industry. Role of communication design in future industries. Exploration of the various, tools, materials, elements, principles and idea development.

- Operate with the online design resources that will inspire and enrich their education throughout the programme of study.
Mode of Delivery
The course will be delivered through lectures, discussions and practical works which will be conducted in studio setting within and outside university premises.
