AsanSka University College of Design and Technology is a practice-based university, located at Oyibi. We offer Programmes in Digital Media and Communication Design, Jewellery Design Technology, and Fashion Design Technology at the degree, diploma, and certificate levels.

We are looking for a pleasant Front Desk Executive to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of the University. You will be the “face” of the University for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The goal is to make guests, visitors and students feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and set a positive office atmosphere,
  • Receive and screen all visitors to the University Administration and direct them to appropriate officials,
  • Answer general questions and address complaints and needs of students as and when they come up,
  • Receive all telephone calls to the University and connect callers and transmit messages to officers,
  • Keep records of all correspondence coming in and going out of the University and maintain and keep an accurate Dispatch Book,
  • Ensure general cleanliness and professional presentation of the reception,
  • Take up other duties as assigned to you by your supervisor.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Front Desk Executive or any relevant position
  • Familiarity with office machines (Computer, Printer, Photocopier, Comb Binding)
  • Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • A minimum of a Diploma in Secretaryship/ Office Management or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to speak in French will be a plus but not a requirement.

Lecturer – ICT

Lecturer – ICT

AsanSka University College of Design and Technology is a practice-based university, making our teaching and research relevant to the evolving market for Design and Technology.

We invite applicants to join our team in the ICT Department as a Lecturer. For this role, we are particularly seeking applicants who bring hands-on skills in a broad range of computing areas plus a technical background.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching as a member of the ICT Department at the undergraduate level.
  • Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.
  • Providing an excellent student experience through innovating on best practices for learning, teaching, support and assessment methods.
  • Identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning, design and development of objectives and materials.
  • Participate in and orchestrate outreach activities to aid in recruitment.
  • Ability to build contacts internally and externally to conduct knowledge transfer activities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the ICT and Digital Media and Communication Design Department to create high-quality research leading to publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings, and to assist in developing bids and partnerships for research funding.

 

Requirements

  • MPhil/Masters in Information and Communications Technology or its equivalent qualification.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in teaching ICT at the university level.
  • Experience with collaboration across your area of practice.
  • Experience with Web Development (LAMP), Cloud Computing, git.
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office.
  • Digital Audio Production & CCTV.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge software applications to support AUCDT’s digitization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a team of talented engineers to create high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise in software engineering best practices, ensuring the delivery of robust and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the software
    applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
  • Experience with web application development and related technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Prior experience in software development projects or coursework is preferred.

Lecturer in Fashion Design

Lecturer in Fashion Design

AsanSka University College of Design and Technology is a practice-based private tertiary university located at Oyibi in the Greater Accra Region. We offer programmes in Digital Media and Communication and Jewellery Design Technology at the Degree, Diploma, and Certificate levels. The University is also seeking accreditation to run the Bachelor of Technology in Fashion Design and the Bachelor of Arts in Product Design and Entrepreneurship.

We invite interested and qualified applicants for a lectureship position in the Department of Fashion Design Technology.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To teach and support students by adopting a learner-centered approach and being committed to contributing towards the delivery of a first-class student experience.
  • To assist curriculum development and contribute to planning, course materials, and learning.
  • To conduct research of relevance to the lecturing and/or professional practice and align own research with teaching and learning.
  • To assist with the day-to-day running and ongoing development of the Fashion Design Department, including ensuring quality and standards are maintained.
  • To support all aspects of promoting the Programme to prospective students and external stakeholders.
  • To draw from professional networks in order to secure industry opportunities for students to enhance learning.
  • To provide effective feedback, support, and guidance to students, which promotes improvement of performance.
  • Any other such reasonable duties as required by the Head of Department for Fashion Design Technology.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of an MPhil in Fashion Design or Msc/M-Tech in Fashion Design with at least one year of proven research work.
  • At least four (4) years of teaching experience in Fashion Design in a reputable university.
