AsanSka University College of Design and Technology is a practice-based university, located at Oyibi. We are currently in partnership with the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to offer some of its programmes which currently involves NP1 and NC1.
We are seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Attendance and Reporting Officer for our TVET program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily attendance, generating reports, and providing feedback to the ICT Unit and Management. This role requires strong organisational skills, a good understanding of technology, and the ability to communicate effectively to address challenges and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

Attendance Management

  • Monitor and record daily attendance during all TVET facilitation sessions.
  • Ensure accurate entry of attendance data into the institution’s database or designated software.
  • Verify attendance records to identify discrepancies or anomalies.

Reporting

  • Generate and submit detailed daily attendance reports to the ICT Unit and Management.
  • Highlight trends, issues, or challenges observed in attendance reports.
  • Propose solutions to improve attendance tracking and reporting efficiency.

Technical Oversight

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to attendance tracking tools or software.
  • Liaise with the ICT Unit to ensure that attendance systems are functioning optimally.

Communication

  • Provide regular updates to the ICT Unit and Management about any operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with facilitators to ensure smooth attendance tracking processes.

Compliance and Record Keeping

  • Maintain confidentiality of all attendance records and reports.
  • Ensure that all attendance practices comply with institutional policies.

And perform any other task assigned to him or her.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Forms).
  • Familiarity with attendance tracking software or database systems.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

AsanSka University College of Design and Technology (AUCDT) is a private University College located at Oyibi, Accra, accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and affiliated with the University of Education, Winneba. AUCDT is a practice-based institution offering programs in Jewellery Design Technology, Digital Media and Communication Design, Fashion Design, and Product Design and Entrepreneurship at the Degree, Diploma, and Certificate levels. The institution seeks a passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable individual to take the role of Dean of Academic Affairs.

The Dean of Academic Affairs is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all academic programs, policies, and the overall educational quality of the institution. The Dean ensures that AUCDT’s academic standards meet the highest levels of excellence and that programs align with the mission and vision of the university college, while also fostering a collaborative and innovative academic environment. This role involves working closely with faculty, department heads, and the university’s leadership team to support student success, faculty development, and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

Academic Leadership:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all academic programs, ensuring they meet the educational and accreditation standards of the institution. Craft and execute a comprehensive academic strategy that positions AUCDT as a premier institution in design and technology education. Champion a culture of continuous innovation, intellectual curiosity, and academic excellence. Drive interdisciplinary collaboration across academic departments.

Curriculum Development:

Oversee the design, review, and continuous improvement of the academic curriculum in alignment with industry standards and the needs of students. Design forward-thinking, industry-aligned curricula that anticipate and respond to emerging technological and design trends. Ensure academic programs meet and exceed national and international accreditation standards. Integrate emerging technologies and pedagogical approaches to enhance learning outcomes.

Faculty Management:

Support the recruitment, retention, and development of highly qualified faculty members, ensuring faculty excellence in teaching, research, and service. Build and nurture a high performance academic team through strategic recruitment, professional development, and performance management. Foster a supportive environment that attracts and retains top academic talent. Implement innovative faculty development programs that promote research, teaching excellence, and professional growth.

Policy and Governance:

Develop and implement academic policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with institutional regulations and requirements of accreditation bodies. Ensure strict compliance with institutional policies and regulatory frameworks.

Student Success:

Foster a student-centered academic environment, focusing on student retention, academic advising, learning outcomes, and career readiness. Develop comprehensive strategies to enhance student learning experiences, retention, and career readiness. Create inclusive academic environments that celebrate diversity, promote equity, and support holistic student development. Establish robust mechanisms for student support, mentorship, and career progression.

Accreditation and Quality Assurance:

Lead efforts to maintain and improve accreditation status with relevant accreditation bodies.

Research and Innovation:

Promote a culture of research and academic innovation, providing support for faculty and students to engage in scholarly and creative activities. Develop collaborative research and innovation initiatives that create tangible societal impact.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other deans, department heads, and administrative leaders to achieve institutional goals and improve academic services.

Budget Management:

Oversee the budget for academic programs and ensure the effective allocation of resources to meet academic goals. Manage academic budgets and resources with financial prudence and strategic foresight.

Community Engagement:

Build partnerships with industry, government, and other educational institutions to enhance the university college’s reputation and opportunities for students and faculty. Build strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, and international academic institutions. Represent AUCDT as a thought leader in design and technology education.

Operational Excellence:

Leverage data-driven insights for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

Requirement

Educational Requirements:

  • A PhD in a relevant academic discipline from an accredited institution. A doctoral degree in Design, Technology, Education, or a related field is required.
  • Proven record of scholarly achievement and research.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of academic experience, including teaching, research, and administration. A minimum of 10 years of higher education experience, including 5 years in senior leadership is required.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role, such as department head, associate dean, or dean, preferably in a higher education setting. Proven track record in curriculum development and academic administration is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Ghana’s tertiary education system and accreditation standards is
    highly desirable.

AsanSka University College of Design and Technology is a practice-based university, located at Oyibi. We offer Programmes in Digital Media and Communication Design, Jewellery Design Technology, and Fashion Design Technology at the degree, diploma, and certificate levels.

We are looking for a pleasant Front Desk Executive to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of the University. You will be the “face” of the University for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The goal is to make guests, visitors and students feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and set a positive office atmosphere,
  • Receive and screen all visitors to the University Administration and direct them to appropriate officials,
  • Answer general questions and address complaints and needs of students as and when they come up,
  • Receive all telephone calls to the University and connect callers and transmit messages to officers,
  • Keep records of all correspondence coming in and going out of the University and maintain and keep an accurate Dispatch Book,
  • Ensure general cleanliness and professional presentation of the reception,
  • Take up other duties as assigned to you by your supervisor.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Front Desk Executive or any relevant position
  • Familiarity with office machines (Computer, Printer, Photocopier, Comb Binding)
  • Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)

Responsibilities

  • Teaching as a member of the ICT Department at the undergraduate level.
  • Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.
  • Providing an excellent student experience through innovating on best practices for learning, teaching, support and assessment methods.
  • Identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning, design and development of objectives and materials.

AsanSka University College of Design and Technology is a practice-based university, located at Oyibi. We offer Programmes in Digital Media and Communication Design and Jewellery Design Technology at the degree, diploma and certificate levels. The University is also about to run the Bachelor of Technology in Fashion Design Technology Programme.

We are looking for a PART-TIME Lecturer to teach Communication and Study Skills to undergraduate students. Main responsibilities will be as follows:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include regular, evening, and weekend sessions through a face to face teaching and or online delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students on topics such as public speaking, academic writing and media criticism.
  • Prepare course materials such as syllabuses, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, and examination scripts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
