Duration: 10 Weeks

Course Objectives

The course intends to:

  1. Produce technologically trained graduants with the requisite knowledge and skills in jewellery finishing and how to preserve them in good condition.
  2. Allow students to explore and unearth their creative prowess in jewellery finishes and preservation as a source of employment.

Course Content

  • Maintenance and care of finishing tools and proper cleaning of compounds from jewellery
  • Filing and Emerying
  • Mirror Polished
  • Burnishing
  • Textured (Satin, Brushed, Hammered, Sandblasted, Bark, Stipple, Matte)
  • Oxidation (Colouration)

Mode of Delivery

The course will be delivered through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practical activities.
