Mr Adjacodjoe holds a Master’s Degree in Product Design from Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) formerly known as Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences in Norway and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrated Rural Art and Industry design from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana.
Mr. Adjacodjoe was born and raised in Accra, Ghana but hails from Kpando in the Volta Region of Ghana. He began his early child education at Effort Nursery School in Dansoman Accra, then to St. Martin De Porres School for his primary and junior high education. He then proceeded to Ghana National College for his senior high school education where he studied Visual Art.
Mr. Adjacodjoe gained admission to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi in 2006 to pursue a Bachelor of Art programme at the College of Art and completed this programme successfully with a Second Class (Upper Division) Honours Degree in 2010.
For his Bachelor’s thesis and project work, he designed a manual for modelling some selected Ghana Ashanti stools with Rhinoceros3d software and design and manufactured a knock down stool which could be assembled perfectly without glue or fasteners.
Mr Adjacodjoe, worked as a teaching assistant at KNUST, the department of Integrated Rural Art and Industry in the area of computer aided designing at during his national service period.
He then gained a scholarship to purse a Master of Product Design at the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, Norway, now known as Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet). In Norway he gained theoretical, practical and industrial experiences when he worked on projects with Lufstansa (LFG Chefs) to design a sustainable tableware for on-flight services. During his practical placement at Akershus hospital (Norway) he worked with a team to design a cleaning device for a mobile x-ray machine.
Experiencing Scandinavia’s (Norway) rich culture, simplicity and wonderful nature in addition to his knowledge gained from Ghana’s amazing culture, lifestyle and traditional craft industry, which equips him with a lot of knowledge, exposure and experience as an educator and a product designer.
- He has worked with a local shoe making company (Ze-Y-Ze), in designing shoes, marketing and branding materials for the company.
- He has worked with Aid to Artisans Ghana in developing concept and products for the craft industry.
- Worked as a 3d modelling Instructor for a Computer Aided Design Course (CITA).
- Worked with some architects on a Design Research Workshop, where they developed new design concepts for Ghanaian furniture with Furnart Ghana Limited. They volunteered in building a community library and developed a concept for small space dwelling.
- Worked as product designer for Akuaba furniture company in Ghana.
- Had a brief working experience with Casa Trasacco furniture Company.
- He also worked with KH3 a Construction Project Management Firm with a focus on Interior Design and Fit-out company in Ghana.
- He is part of Design Thinking Ghana group.
- He is an active member of E.P Church Dansoman media team, Heading the Camera division.
